Bonjour! Hello! Je suis Claude(tte). I am Claude.

I have been writing, drawing and giving (sometimes unsolicited) book recommendations my entire life (with varying success). 

I have been a publishing and marketing professional for many years, but am also a newly qualified social worker.

Over the years, I have helped make many books and literary ephemera, some of which I’ve designed myself. I also help run a Dickens literary society. I used to have a podcast with a dear friend that I’m still very proud of.

I find any type of book chat utterly irresistible, am a total theatre tragic and love looking at beautiful (and not immediately beautiful) things. I believe that art is a powerful tool for social justice, not the least because it can help us better see—if we are generous⁠—the profound, ineffably mysterious continent that is the inner self.
